This is a navy and green windbreaker for men and women. When we released the Åsunden Windbreaker last autumn, it was an immediate success. Our customers have provided feedback and highlighted the jacket’s design and functionality together with the local production and sustainability aspect as something they like. At the same time, you have requested some details that were missing. We have listened and now we are launching the new jacket for both men and women! Check out the full Åsunden Windbreaker Look Book;
The work of developing the Åsunden Windbreaker has been going on for several years to succeed in finding the right fabric, design and not least fit and functionality. Now we are finished with this work and are very proud to be able to present this updated version of Åsunden Windbreaker. The fabric is woven in the textile district of Sweden, Sjuhärad and is 100 % made of recycled polyester. Åsunden Windbreaker now works just as well for the workout as a casual garment, as we have added two pockets on the sides for storage.
At the front you will also find a new stylish zipper. We hooked up with the models Villa, Mezie and Björn and did a test round along the streets of Södermalm in Stockholm. Björn Barrefors, who is a former Swedish champion in decathlon, tested the jacket’s functionality and durability thoroughly, by doing various jumping and coordinating exercises he learned as an athlete at a high level. The jacket can withstand wind and wet, while the ventilation panels at the back mean that you never get the feeling of getting too hot.
The Åsunden collection, which also includes shorts and a hoodie for men and women, is named after the large lake that is located in the middle of the area in Västergötland where we knit and weave our fabrics. The proximity allows us to run between the villages that have produced fabrics and fashion for generations. The fabrics in the Åsunden collection are produced from materials from recycled plastic and they are ÖKOTEX Class 1-certified.
We have worked hard to find light fabrics that have the functional properties required for running in our Nordic climate without feeling that the clothes are clumsy and difficult to move in. The classic design and the cool colors make the jacket look nice combined with many of our other garments in our range. Åsunden Windbreaker is a navy and green windbreaker made for running that combines nicely with, for example, Utö Shorts in yellow and burgundy, Änggården Men’s Mid Tights and not least our headbands Head (Bang) Band Navy and Off-white. The navy blue headband is completely new and the one in off-white with stripes is now making a comeback. They are made of 100% cotton and are a nice and good accessory that keeps sight and hair away during running training.
