LYSEKIL
We have made it to Gullmarsvallen in the small town Lysekil in beautiful district Bohuslän on Sweden's west coast. Here it is as if time stood still. The wooden bleacher section fades into the foreground with Bohuslän's cliffs as a backdrop. In the background, a blue sea looms before an endless horizon. The spikes land softly on the ground and there is a slight crunch with each step. The sound is softer and longer than on the rubber tracks we usually run on.
The janitor hasn't even bothered to draw the lane markings anymore. The intervals range from 600m up to 1000m as we hit the dirt track in a long row. Olympic and WC finalist Mustafa "Muse" Mohamed, who grew up just a few hundred meters from Gullmarsvallen, leads the group. The pace is high and it is noticeable that he knows every little millimeter in the stadium.

THE DIRT TRACK
In a world where we constantly strive for faster times and better conditions, the dirt track is really old school. At the same time, the surface is gentle on the body and the feet have to work actively in a completely different way than on a faster surface. This builds strength in necessary small muscles.
The sweat beads on the forehead and we start to lie dangerously close to the lactic acid threshold. Lysekil Split Shorts and singlet fall nicely along the body as we approach the end of the interval session. The seagulls cheer us on with their screams and is a salty smells from the sea as the longing to be done burns on the inside of our heads.
We have designed the Lysekil collection with the Gullmarsvallen dirt track as inspiration. The classic stadiums and sporting moments meet innovation and high technology in the form of fabrics we have knitted close to Lysekil in Sweden.
