Since a few weeks back is Mustafa “Musse” Mohamed in Ethiopia to run with some of the best runners in the world to build a platform for this year´s season. Here is a report from the super runner.

My workout is going well here in Sululta, 10 km outside Addis Abeba in Etiopien. The altitude here is 2700 meters above sea level which is hard for me. I run 5-10 s slower here per km than I do at home due to the high altitude. The first week, I ran with some runners from Djibouti. After that I´ve been running with my Swedish friend Napoleon Solomon, Abdi Abdirahman (USA), Bashir Abdi (Belgien), Mo Farah and two younger guys competing for the UK (Petros & Abdigani).

Here is an example of my running sessions down here:
- Intervals on Wednesdays on grass or on the track
- Fridays speed. Either straight up (like 10 km in 32 min) or divided (5 km + 5 km + 2 km in high speed)
- Sundays 32-35 km in a speed of 3.30 min/km
The toughest session I´ve had was the track session today. My body was tired after the long run the other day and it´s the end of the training camp.
Musse in Ethiopia
In the morning it´s 10 degrees Celsius and later in the day it´s 20-25 degrees. It´s been fun and inspiring to run in this environment and with such great runners. My first race is getting closer as I will run the half marathon in Barcelona the 10th of February.
All the best,
