OUR NEXT TRACK STAR?
LÄS MER
He doesn’t just look great in our new fall collection – he’s also a very promising track and field athlete. We sat down for a chat with Malte Fuchs Edberg.
How did you get into track & field?
I joined the track & field summer camp the year I turned seven, and then I was hooked.
What’s the best thing about being an athlete?
Being able to train every day with my friends and feeling myself getting stronger and faster!
Which part of training do you find the most rewarding?
Pushing limits in the gym or in hill workouts during base training!
Which achievement are you most proud of?
Either one of my Swedish Championships bronze medals – one in decathlon and one
in the 110m hurdles – or my silver in the decathlon at the Nordic U20 Championships.
How important are the clothes you wear as an athlete?
I think it’s important to wear clothes that fit well and look good. You want to feel professional and a bit cool if you’re going to have the energy to train every day?
Which pieces from the shoot did you like the most?
I really liked the new Off-race Men’s Track Jacket and Pants in maroon! But also the Siljan Thermal Tights and the Åsunden Funnel Neck and Hoodie are perfect for base training this fall!
What’s next for you?
After competing in the Finnkampen (Finland–Sweden Athletics International), it’s time for a long and tough base training period. And school is starting again soon, so I’ll definitely have my hands full!
Which athlete inspires you the most, and why?
I’d have to say Mondo Duplantis! I’ve followed him since I started pole vaulting 10 years ago, and his success has inspired me to train really hard.
Thanks Malte och good luck with the build up season!
