Our goal is to provide quality training sessions to help runners improve in a social atmosphere. We focus on being an inclusive running community where everyone feel part of the sport. WRW is free and all runners are welcome.
Join We Run West & YMR Track Club this Thursday for a race pace interval session in preparation for Göteborgsvarvet.
We have developed a concept that focus on interval training sessions on Thursdays, we’re ensuring all levels of runners can participate, benefit from a great session, and feel connected to the community.
By implementing time-based intervals instead of distance-based ones, we synchronise our starts and stops, empowering the group dynamics. Regardless of individual pace, everyone receives encouragement and camaraderie with high fives exchanged between intervals.
We Run West was established in 2021 when Sara Asmoarp moved back to Gothenburg from London. Inspired by running communities in London, such as Run Dem Crew and Track East, we aimed to establish a running community in Gothenburg with friendly vibes and quality sessions. We're looking to welcome more runners at all levels to enjoy our Thursday intervals and grow our social running sphere.
We meet up every Thursday 18:30 outside Slottskogsvallen, we're also having additional sessions and run races together.
What: Race-pace intervals to get ready for Göteborgsvarvet
Where: Tapasbaren in Majorna
How: We'll warm up together - the main session is 4 x 4' race-pace intervals, where you run in your expected half marathon pace. We'll finish at Tapasbaren for something to eat & drink, there will be a lottery with some great socks from YMR. See you all there!
