We are proud to say that this weekend, our Brand Ambassador Mustafa 'Musse' Mohamed set a new world record in the veteran 10.000 meters with a time of 29:39.43.
"One of my goals this year was to beat this record so I'm very pleased to have achieved it. I've been training well this summer so I knew I was in good shape. Now an expert assignment awaits in the Olympic studio and then the veteran WC in Gothenburg, which is my second goal for the year."

After so many years at the top, Musse continues to deliver. Musse of course broke the Swedish record in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 08:05:75 back in 2007. A record which still stands today. In 2020, Musse broke the Swedish marathon record in Sevilla with a time of 2:10:03
Now, 26 years on from when he set the junior record in the 10.000m with a time of 29.32, Musse now holds the record in the veteren category.
Musse has been a a huge part of YMR Track Club for many years. It has been a dream to have perhaps Sweden's greatest ever long distance runner as part of the club. From breaking Sweden's marathon record, to now breaking the veteran 10.000 world record, we continue to be amazed by him.
To see Musse break records wearing YMR Track Club running wear makes us immensely proud.
