STOCKHOLM MARATHON 2025
LÄS MER
The morning before a marathon carries a unique kind of energy. It’s calm but charged, like the deep breath before a long exhale. Today, at our Stockholm Clubhouse, that energy was alive and well as we welcomed a wave of runners—friends old and new—for our shakeout run ahead of Stockholm Marathon 2025.
From early morning, the clubhouse buzzed with quiet anticipation. Runners filtered in with wide smiles and fresh legs, ready to share the some miles one last time before the big day. This wasn’t just about logging an easy 5–6km—it was about grounding ourselves in community, reminding each other why we do this, and soaking up the moment together.
We kicked things off with an insightful nutrition talk led by our coach and distance athlete, Hugo Setthagen. As always, Hugo brought a calm authority, blending practical knowledge with personal experience. From carb-loading myths to race-day fueling strategies, his advice hit home for runners at every level.
Joining us for the session was the team from our nutrition partner, Mautern, who generously provided free gels and race-fuelling products. It was a welcome gesture that sparked thoughtful questions and plenty of post-talk chatter among the runners.
Among the crowd were many of our YMR Track Club coaches and ambassadors, proudly representing the brand and the values we hold close: community, performance, and passion. Seeing them there—leading, encouraging, and celebrating this moment with everyone—was a powerful reminder of what YMR is all about.
We set off together through the familiar route in Stockholm's Djurgården soaking in the beauty of the city and each other's company. It wasn’t fast, it wasn’t far—but that was never the point. These shakeout runs are about connection. The footfalls of a few dozen runners moving as one. The shared laughs. The quiet nods. The feeling that, whatever happens tomorrow, we’re in this together.
After the loop, runners returned to the clubhouse where our recovery partner for the morning, Therabody, had transformed the space into a mini wellness hub. Their team showcased a range of recovery tools—from Theraguns to compression recovery legs—and guided runners through hands-on demos. It was a chance to unwind, ask questions, and learn how to best prepare our bodies for what lies ahead.
As we wrapped up, there was a quiet hum of excitement in the air. Some runners lingered, stretching out, laughing with teammates. Others slipped away to rest, hydrate, and prepare. The big day awaits, but this morning was a victory of its own. A moment of calm, clarity, and community before the marathon begins.
To everyone toeing the line tomorrow—good luck. You’ve trained, prepared, and shown up, and that’s already something worth celebrating. And to everyone who joined us this morning—thank you. It was an honour to share the road with you.
See you out there.
