On December 1st, hundreds of runners gathered at Hammarbybacken to participate in this year’s edition of the Hammarby Alpine Marathon, an event YMR Track Club is proud to partner with. This unique race saw participants defy both the weather and steep inclines to tackle one of Stockholm’s most challenging courses.
With rain in the air and a chilly wind sweeping over the hill, one might have expected spirits to waver, but quite the opposite happened. The atmosphere was electric. Runners from across the country and even international participants came together to conquer the elevation of Hammarbybacken—again and again. It was a day that demanded both mental and physical strength, but what stood out the most was the shared joy of being part of something greater.
Running together brings a truly special feeling. You could see the joy on the faces of runners encouraging one another up the hill, laughing together, and pushing through every elevation gain side by side. The Hammarby Alpine Marathon isn’t just about competing—it’s about community, challenge, and a deep love for running.
As a partner of the race, we at YMR Track Club were delighted to contribute to this incredible day. Many participants wore our gear, designed to meet the demands of both the weather and the terrain. Seeing our vision of function and style come to life in such a display of running joy warms our hearts.
